Shepherds Theological Seminary

We are excited to partner with Shepherds Theological Seminary to open a local cluster campus here at Shades Mountain Community Church. This allows our members and surrounding community to take seminary classes for credit or audit here at SMCC. Students will benefit from the world-class academics that Shepherds has to offer while staying close to home. We invite all individuals to join in these classes as they are major resources for growing in your knowledge of the Word. We pray this partnership assists in the effort to present everyone mature in Christ just as Paul wrote in his letter to the Colossians.

Biblical Counseling Ministry

We believe all Christians should understand key biblical teachings and develop skills to overcome sin and suffering—both personally and in ministering to others. Our Biblical Counseling Training Class equips believers to care for hurting people through the sufficient and authoritative Word of God. This free resource is a 28-week training that is open to anyone desiring to better minister to themselves and others. 

SMCC is a certified Biblical Counseling Training Center. In addition to our free resource, we offer a curriculum that counts toward IABC certification as a Biblical Counselor. If you're ready to begin your journey toward certification, we invite you to get started today.

Based on the exhortation of Deuteronomy 6:6-9, SMIC Academy (SMICA) is a church-based, family-centered, discipleship ministry that assists homeschool parents in fulfilling their calling to educate their children according to the Christ-centered, biblical worldview.
