BIBLICAL COUNSELING TRAINING

BIBLICAL
COUNSELING TRAINING

When people face sin and suffering, the church is called to bring the hope and guidance found in God’s Word. That’s why SMCC partners with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC) to help equip and certify those called to care for others. This certification process is made up of three phases.

Our Philosophy

"I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another." Romans 15:14

At SMCC, we believe all Christians should understand key biblical teachings and develop skills to overcome sin and suffering—both personally and in ministering to others.

Our Biblical Counseling Training Ministry equips believers to care for hurting people through the sufficient and authoritative Word of God. We believe God provides real, effective answers to life’s real problems. As we grow in Christ, we also grow in our ability to help others.

This training is for anyone wanting to minister more effectively in their small groups, ministries, or personal relationships. While not all participants are required to become counselors, this class is essential for those seeking to serve as biblical counselors at SMCC or to be certified through ACBC or IABC.
