BIBLICAL COUNSELING

Our Philosophy

The SMCC Biblical Counseling and Discipleship Ministry offers hope and practical, Bible-based solutions for life’s challenges—including marriage and relationship issues, grief, addiction, financial struggles, anxiety, depression, and more.

We provide counseling for individuals, families, and couples, focusing on God’s Word as the foundation for healing, growth, and freedom from sin and suffering. Our trained volunteer peer counselors emphasize a restored relationship with God and are available for one-time or ongoing sessions, using Scripture as the primary guide.

"His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.  Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires." 2 Peter 1:3-4

'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.'
