More People Praying. More People Being Prayed For.
Motivation to pray
“I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my supplications. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2
“Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by ceasing to pray for you.” I Samuel 12:23
Perspective on praying in times of physical trials:
“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
Perspective on praying in times of spiritual trials:
“For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God....”
Colossians 1:9-10

Information:
This prayer bulletin is intended for ministry leaders (e.g. Growth Groups leaders, Core Class teachers, elders, pastors, and deacons) to better facilitate their group prayer times. Prayer requests will remain on the prayer bulletin for up to three weeks unless updates are provided by the submitter.
Please note that the prayer bulletin is separate and distinct from SMCC’s prayer chain. The prayer chain is primarily designed for prayer requests that are time sensitive and urgent. Our prayer chain is administered by Gina Cody at gina@smcc.church or (205) 978-6002.
