Hi! My name is Lindzi Lee, and I’m the Children’s Ministry Assistant at SMCC. I grew up as a Georgia peach living in various small towns in the state next door. By the grace of God, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior during my senior year of high school. While on a mission trip to New Orleans ’Lower 9th Ward post Hurricane Katrina, the Spirit adamantly pursued my heart, opened my eyes to the depth and depravity of my sin, and filled me with a consuming desire to live in freedom with Christ. The Spirit revealed to me that salvation and communion with God was possible solely through faith in Christ’s sacrificial atonement.
Since surrendering my life to Christ, He has patiently continued to sanctify me towards His likeness through various seasons requiring full reliance on His all-sufficient sacrifice. God has been faithful to provide discipling mentors through precious church communities and friendships in each new season. The SMCC community continues to be one of God’s greatest gifts in this very way!
My husband, Nathan, and I met while working together for three years at a Christian summer camp in the foothills of North Georgia & we were married in November 2016. We came to SMCC in 2019, where we instantly felt confident that this was where we wanted to be discipled, equipped to proclaim His Word, and to ultimately bring glory to His name alongside this family of believers. In September 2022, we received a precious gift from the Lord by welcoming our daughter (Lucy) into our family. Our prayer and hope is that she will come to know and love our Heavenly Father in an intimate way and with unwavering faith. It is exciting to see the members of SMCC continue to seek the Lord and grow in Christ together— from the teaching of Gospel-centered, Biblical truths in the nursery to the Children’s ministry and from the pulpit every Sunday morning.

Hobbies:
My cup is filled to the brim any moment spent with family and our SMCC family— preferably over a home cooked meal with long, edifying conversations. I treasure any moment spent with my husband, Nathan, and watching our spunky toddler explore God’s creation for the first time! I equally enjoy a sunny day for a hike followed by a tall ice cream cone, while also fully embracing a rainy day to read a historical fiction novel, tackle a puzzle (no looking at the cover photo), or make a mess in the kitchen attempting a new bake.
Role:
I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the Children’s Ministry at SMCC by supporting our incredibly talented & creative Children’s Pastor, Jonathan Owen, in Kids Church, Kingdom Kids, and Adventure Crew. My role looks like recruiting & organizing our Children’s ministry volunteers, ordering curriculum, making copies of musical scripts, prepping kiddo-approved snacks, mailing birthday cards, running Adventure Crew games, and witnessing the children learn God’s Word through song and memorization in Kingdom Kids and Adventure Crew.
Favorite Scripture:
But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus
Ephesians 2:4-7
