Hi! My name is Anna Squires, and I'm the Communications Director at SMCC. I lived in Pelham, Alabama for the first 20 years of my life in the same home where my parents still reside. I attended Jefferson State Community College and worked as an Ambassador at their campus for two years. Following Jeff State, I graduated in 2021 from the University of Alabama with a degree in Communication Studies.

From my earliest memories, I can recall spending most of my time at church. My parents, David and Lisa Squires, met at SMCC'S Young Adult Ministry and got married in this building by Pastor Harry. The Christian home I was raised in molded the believer I am today. Both at home and in our church I learned how deeply rooted my sin was, and how desperately I needed a Savior. I ran in need to the Father and now live a life freed from that sin and enjoy experiencing a relationship with my Savior everyday.

 I've been blessed with experiencing our ministries first hand as a student and now as a leader. I have served in Equipped High School Ministry as a leader since January of 2022. I've been serving with Lauren Spigner shepherding the hearts of your junior/senior girls. This is an honor that I have never taken lightly. Discipleship starts with relationships; I desire to know your students on a level where I can focus on their hearts and point them towards a loving Father.
